Is A Bahamas Honeymoon In Your Future?
I don't know about everyone else, but I've recently begun to wonder about foreign lands and tourist attractions. Although they
sound ideal and appear phenomenal in brochures and ads, not all is what it seems. Did you see the recent flick entitled "Touristas?" Hmm, not
such a stellar take on Brazil. Then just recently I was watching "Man on Fire." In that movie, Mexico City looks like a place anyone
would think twice before visiting. Now, of course I do realize that these are just movies and simply created for entertainment purposes, but good
grief. Can we see some good aspects of these foreign countries? This brings me to the notion of honeymoon spots. Where is your ideal
getaway? Is a Bahamas honeymoon at the top of your list, or are you perhaps looking a little closer to home?
I'm an American kind of guy. I'm always hearing some excited couple ranting on about their upcoming Bahamas honeymoon
vacation, or trip to the Caribbean. Personally, there are still roughly 50 states in the U.S. that I have seen very little of. So
why do we so often want to travel outside of the US for a Bahamas honeymoon when we could enjoy an ideal get-away closer to
home in Savannah, Georgia or the Pocono's, for example? I don't think most Americans even think of these awesome spots to visit. I
constantly hear women ramble on about going to Paris or Rome. Then when I ask them where they've been besides their home state, their answer
is nowhere. This just seems puzzling to me.
Why are we Americans so focused on foreign countries when most of
us haven't even seen a fraction of the one we live in? But hey, who am I? When I was married, several years ago, I did
the exact same thing that many still do today. I sailed off on a week long cruise for a bahamas honeymoon. In fact, the
cruise that we went on was even referred to as the honeymoon cruise, because so many newlyweds signed up for that particular cruise.
And, to be quite honest, I had the time of my life! And no, we didn't spend the entire time in the cabin ...
So, if you're still thinking about that big honeymoon spot, do it up however you please. This is an incomparable part of
your life. Hopefully you only get married once, and the original honeymoon is an important and exciting way to begin your marriage journey.
Maybe that Bahamas honeymoon is right for you, or maybe you want to do some more searching. Whatever the case, do plenty of background
work before deciding on a specific spot. It pays to know as much as possible about where you travel to. And take advantage of the Web. There are
lots of articles, reviews and companies online that deal with honeymoon vacations and travel abroad. Use the resources available to you and
you too can have the time of your life!
