Beach. No motorized vehicles are allowed, with the exception of emergency vehicles or transport for people with disabilities. The trail
takes in countryside and coastal scenery in a safe environment for bikers, skaters, joggers and walkers.
The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is an important resource for the region
and offers excellent educational programs and research facilities. In addition to resident marine life, the Clearwater Beach aquarium
operates a rescue program for injured or diseased animals. The animals are brought back to health, and then if possible, returned back
to the wild. The aquarium also runs a therapy program for children with physical, emotional or mental difficulties to interact with bottlenose
dolphins, North American River Otters, stingrays and even sea turtles.
The town is a great base for a vacation, being so near popular tourist spots such as Disney World in Orlando and the
Busch Gardens theme park and zoo in Tampa. For some fun shopping and high quality produce, there is a weekly Farmers Market held in Clearwater
Beach at City Hall from November through April. Vendors sell a wide selection of flowers, arts and crafts, and baked goods, to name a
few.
Caladesi Island is a state park, which can be accessed by ferry or by walking to it at low tide. There are three miles of
nature trails and it's a great opportunity to see the local wildlife around Clearwater Beach, collect shells and have a picnic in beautiful
